The Freediving Instructors International certified courses are designed in a comprehensive format, specifically targeting safety and self improvement.

 

    The common misconception of becoming a freediver is that it takes 10 to 15 years of hands on experience for you to become efficient. Freediving is considered to be primarily skill based sport, therefore the right course focusing on the right skills and knowledge to be developed in the correct order and format can not only save you years of trial and error, but can also save your life.

    F.I.I. freediving programs have the highest safety rating in the industry yet it provides you all the knowledge and tools to reach your goals. Whatever your interest might be, swimming along the reef, extending your bottom time, deep water spearfishing,  or marine mammal interaction, F.I.I. has the right program for you.

    The foundation blocks of the F.I.I. educational system are the Core Courses divided in three levels, teaching everything from the fundamentals of safe freediving, to the skills of utilizing the mammalian diving reflex then onto training techniques of adjusting ones physiology to become a better freediver. Specialty Courses offer the participant specific training and expertise in the realm of interest.

Level 1 Freedive Class at Dolphin Dive Center in Sacramento

February 5th and 12th (2012)
Cost: $415.00 - This includes the boat fee.

Feb 12th we will meet at K dock in Monterey to dive off the Boat
